On March 15, we were able to host an OHF fundraising event for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak! The fundraising event took place at the HeuBühne in Meilen ZH, Switzerland. During this evening, one could get general information about the topic of fleeing and the related facts and figures in an exhibition or look back on the last five years of OHF on Lesvos in pictures. Of course, as always, you could also buy our OHF socks and olive oil and support the project in this way.
We were also able to show a photo exhibition by ReFocus, which offered a very impressive insight into the photographic work of refugees. Many thanks to the whole team of ReFocus.
There was also a presentation giving a general overview of the situation on Lesvos, an insight into the work of OHF on the ground and you could hear Haniye’s personal report about her time at OHF. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. Afterwards, information was given about how the situation is currently developing and why OHF has decided to move to Athens, what OHF plans to do there and that we still need financial support to implement these ideas.
The last point of the programme was then the benefit concert by Andrina Bollinger. A big thank you to her for her musical performance that evening.
