This month there was another OHF event in Switzerland. On Saturday, August 27, a charity day was held at the Lido in Basel. It was possible to register in advance for beach volleyball, paddle tennis and bocce tournaments.
The whole day was spent playing and sweating (an OHF team consisting of board members, volunteers and former community volunteers was also there). The weather was kind to us, except for a short rain shower in the middle of the day. There also were more relaxed people who sat down at the tables and had a drink and a meal. Both the participation fees for the tournaments and a contribution of one swiss franc per consumption went directly to OHF as donations. And, of course, it was not possible to be bored after the sports activities ended: several DJs entertained with good music, and you could bring your own textiles to the Druckbus or have the sponsored T-shirts from Tarzan printed with motives specially designed for this event.
Of course, there was also a stand where visitors could get information about OHF and our activities, and as always there were socks and Greek olive oil for sale. The event was supported by the Freie Gemeinschaftsbank.
