Lars just left OHF after volunteering with us for 3 weeks. Either in the cafe, at the welcome desk or on the rooftop, Lars was always around to help wherever someone was needed!
When asked about why he decided to come to OHF, Lars said: ‘I wanted to get an insight into the situation here in Athens and gain experience in the humanitarian work that NGO’s, such as OHF, do. My goal is to then use this experience to inform my future work, perhaps for the UN or an organization similar. I’ve really enjoyed interacting and chatting with the visitors, I feel very comfortable here.’
Cath, who worked closely with Lars in the cafe, said: ‘Lars brings such a can-do attitude to each day. He’s really curious, interested and enthusiastic and it’s been a pleasure to work with him!’
Thank you Lars, for your time and energy, you have been a valuable part of our family and you will be missed!
